  • The Assessment Section is offering a one-day training on January 13 - 14, 2019 for resource teachers, curriculum coordinators, academic coaches, and department heads on how to use Smarter Balanced Interim Assessments, the Digital Library, and the AIRWays Reporting system. The online registration form for each training may be accessed here or by clicking the training button on the home page at alohahsap.org. The registration deadline is Friday, December 13, 2019. Full information about the training can be found in the November 18, 2019 DOE Memo.

  • The Assessment Section will host a webinar on the One Percent Waiver Extension for Hawaii to provide information on this plan and to answer questions on Thursday, November, 21 2019, from 2:30 - 3:30 p.m. Click here to join the meeting and the access code is 808 135 045.

  • Beginning this year, Interim Assessment results will no longer be available in the Online Reporting System (ORS). Results for all Interim Assessments administered in school year 2019-2020, along with previous years' results, are available in the AIRWays Reporting System.

  • Earlier this month Apple released the updated Mac OS 10.15 (Catalina) operating system, which if installed on student Mac test devices, will cause the AIR Secure Browser to fail to launch. School TAs and/or Technology Coordinators should not update any Mac computers being used for testing until the AIR software review team has confirmed Mac OS 10.15 is compatible with AIR testing systems. Another announcement will be posted once compatibility has been confirmed.
