Recent Announcements

  • The Assessment Section is offering a one-day Smarter Balanced Assessment Test Coordinator training in January and February 2020. The online registration form for each training may be accessed here or by clicking the training button on the home page at alohahsap.org. The registration deadline is January 17, 2020. Full information about the training can be found in the December 11, 2019 DOE Memo.

  • Updated 12/30: The Hawaii DOE will apply for the U.S. DOE's Innovative Assessment Demonstration Authority in order to implement an innovative assessment pilot for grade 4 ELA and grade 8 mathematics in school year 2020-21. Teachers of these two grades and subject areas are invited to apply to the Innovative Assessment Pilot Program by completing the online application. The due date is Friday, January 31, 2020 (updated). Additional information can be found in the December 6, 2019 DOE Memo.

  • School Test Coordinators are encouraged to use the Online Accommodation Verification Form to submit accommodation requests. This Google form automatically uploads to the Assessment Section office and is available here. School TCs must use their HI DOE Gmail account to access and submit this electronic form. The deadline to submit accommodations for the 2019-20 school year is January 17, 2020.

  • Beginning this year, Interim Assessment results will no longer be available in the Online Reporting System (ORS). Results for all Interim Assessments administered in school year 2019-2020, along with previous years' results, are available in the AIRWays Reporting System.

  • On the afternoon of Thursday, October 3rd the Digital Library and TIDE sign-in systems will be integrating, allowing users who are logged into AIR systems to move directly to the Digital Library without having to sign in with a separate Digital Library account. During the implementation of this update the direct sign-in page for the Digital Library will be briefly unavailable on Thursday afternoon from approximately 2:30pm-4:30pm HST. Once the integration is completed, new user accounts created in TIDE will be automatically provisioned in the Digital Library. Users with both TIDE and Digital Library accounts will be able to sign-in to both systems using their TIDE username and password. Questions?
