  • Per the May 2, 2018 memo from OITS, the Remedy ticketing system has been replaced with the ServiceNow system for Information Technology support. Test and technology coordinators experiencing problems related to network connectivity should submit a ServiceNow ticket at help.hidoe.org, or call the IT Help Desk at 564-6000, neighbor islands may call 8-1-808-692-7250 (HATS). ServiceNow user guidelines, FAQs, and a link to submit tickets are available on the staff Intranet https://intranet.hawaiipublicschools.org/offices/oits/stsb in the “Instructional” area and from the Knowledge Base area in ServiceNow. Other testing issues not related to the network should continue to be escalated to the AIR Help Desk.

  • Test and technology coordinators at schools using Macs for Smarter Balanced testing should not update their test devices to Mac OS High Sierra, as the Secure Browser will not work with this OS.  Test coordinators should immediately inform their technology coordinators and teachers using Macs for administering either the summative or interim assessments that they should not update their operating system, otherwise, the current secure browser will not work.  An announcement will be made through the Assessment News when an updated, compatible browser is available. REMINDER: Operating systems that become available but do not appear on the Supported Browsers page on the portal are not supported. Do not upgrade to new operating systems on computers that will be used to administer online assessments without ensuring the updates meet the required specifications.
