Hawaii State Test Accommodation Guide for Speech-to-Text 2021-2022

Jan 1, 0001

The Speech-to-Text (STT) state test accommodation is available to students with a motor or processing disability or a recent injury (such as a broken hand or arm). The STT accommodation provides a means for producing an essay response (long-write essays) on the ELA tests. The STT accommodation allows students to demonstrate their composition skills by translating their spoken thoughts electronically into text. Students must be able to independently use the STT software to edit the text produced.
